The Oklahoma quarterback, Baker Mayfield, has just made history by being the only walk-on player in NCAA to win the Heisman Trophy. This year's runner-up was Stanford running back Bryce Love. Coming in third was last year's Heisman winner, Lamar Jackson, Louisville's quarterback.
Mayfield who is only 22-years-old has developed what sources are calling the "most productive offense, averaging 583.3 yards a game while leading the Sooners to another Big 12 title and a Rose Bowl date with Georgia." Her is what Mayfield had to say:
"This is unbelievable for me, being up here among these greats. It's something that words can't even describe. God has put me in this position that I'm so blessed, and a lot of times I wonder why. But it's such an honor to be up here. It's unbelievable."
