Mom Demands Girlfriend Of Son, 11, Be Held Responsible For His Suicide

Tysen Benz (11) of Marquette, Michigan has died from his attempt to hang himself on Tuesday April 4th after his girlfriend played a prank on him through social media where she faked a suicide. The young man's mother, Katrina Goss, want her put in jail. She said that he wasn't the kind of child to be sad or depressed so this came as quite the shock.

According to mom, Benz had been secretly dating the 13 year old female for a period of four to five months and they maintained contact through a cellphone he bought with his own money. On March 14th Goss found him hanging in the closet from his belt, she immediately freed him to begin CPR as her other young children called 911.

"He was amazing," Goss told the Daily News and CBS News. "He had a ton of friends, he was super athletic. Everyone's just shocked and appalled. He was such a great guy, and everybody loved him. I greatly hope they give her the maximum charges possible, It was a calculated act and she needs to be held responsible."  Marquette County Prosecutor's Office is charging the teen with malicious use of telecommunication services and using a computer to commit a crime. The charges equal a maximum punishment of one year in jail (US Weekly).
