and Recently the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar, LeBron James, became a target of racism when his off-season Los Angeles home was vandalized. The vandals spray-painted the n-word onto the gate of his property. Before the finals James spoke out about the incident in a news conference stating that, "no matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being Black in America is tough."
Fox Sports 1 newscaster Jason Whitlock thought otherwise. Thursday he was caught saying that racism wasn't an issue for a black person as wealthy as LeBron James. Basically in his eyes you can only be poor and black to feel the reality of racism. Whitlock said this was more of an inconvenience to James than racism. He then began to receive backlash from Martellus Bennet (Packers Tightend) and Mike Hill ( a co-worker of Whitlock). Jason Whitlock has yet to make a public statement or apology about his comments.
